Okay, cue the trumpets. Enter Arlo, he of the magnificent Roman snoot! My foster mama tells me I have a cute snoot but I can't see it, so I'll let you judge for yourself. I have beautiful amber eyes, a big overbite, and a snoot big enough to hold in both hands. All the more snoot to love you with!
I am a bit of a goofball. My foster mama says I'm "goofy non-stop fun". I am a little love-sponge, every day with you is a new, fun and exciting day! I'll make you laugh too — I'll roach upside down in my bed and my tongue will slide out in the most masterful derp! When I greet you in the morning, I'll plonk my long snoot onto the edge of the bed and request a scritch.
I'm almost 2 years old, and as a young, unraced greyhound I've got a lot of bounce, and would do well with a fellow greyhound companion with similar energy-levels. I've been in foster care with another greyhound and an unlikely friendship has blossomed, my foster roomie is 6 year old Woofa. We have a bit of a bromance — he is totally a brother from another mother!
I can sometimes get a little overwhelmed and can be shy when meeting new dogs or in new, busy environments — it's a lot to take in! If you could navigate that with me that would be ace. Because I am still young, I will need a home where my humans understand that I need boundaries, training and continued socialisation — I can't wait to earn my "goodest boy" badge.
I'm still shedding my kennel coat, so I'm a bit of a woolly mammoth. You'll need to use a deshedder brush, and add in some omega-3 to get my coat to shine! I'd like two walks a day, lots of toys and enrichment toys to keep the grey matter in check. I enjoy stealing snacks that have been left unattended and knocking over pot plants that looked at me funny. But I'm still learning — I'm a giant puppy, so I would best suit homes with kids 10+ years old. I am not suited for households with cats, or small dogs.
I love to be loved, I’ll hoover up all the love that’s going. I hope I don’t have to wait too long for my forever home, but I’ll wait as long as it takes.

STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Fill out the contact form or email us at [email protected] to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $320.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 2 week trial.
We have a 2 week trial, where support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If, after the 2 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> A 2.5 kg bag of Lifewise dog food
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
