Hope is almost ready for her forever home. She is a playful inquisitive 9 month old girl. She was surrendered to Greyhound Rescue as she had a paralysis injury to her back legs as a young pup. She has full use of her back legs now however her hocks have conformational issues that may develop arthritis in her later years. This previous injury does not hold her back, she loves to play, run around and be a normal puppy. She has met several different breeds of dogs and is happy as long as they are not too full on.
Hope’s forever home would be one where her humans would continue with positive reinforcement training, have a calm confident doggy companion and a home that has no stairs if possible. Preference will be given to adoption applications where the humans are not full time workers so they can spend a lot of time with Hope.
Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated.
We will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
