my name is Horrie and I am looking for someone to adopt me!
I am looking furs a home who has a doggy to be my friend, (preferably a girl dog).
In my current foster home I am with a boy and a girl greyhound and the boy and I play and growl sometimes, because we both wants to be boss. But I get along well with my current foster sister as she just does her own thing.
I’m good inside, sleep all nites on my bed, and I will come to you when I am called.
I like to lean and cuddle into you but I know you need to call me to do this otherwise this will add to my anxiety when you leave.
I was a good boy when there was fireworks the other night as I just stayed sleeping on my bed.
I have just a little bit of anxiety, (I’m currently taking special tablets to help me with this) but after a routine is established I hope this should settle.
I have a crazy side and run around doing zoomies after I go potty, I’m funny that way.
I enjoy playing with toys, especially ones that squeak. I like to throw them in the air. I also like to have a run around outside with balls!
I would ideally like a family or person who works part time, or is home alot, and who can help me adjust to life.
I love being with humans and just lying around close to my humans. My current foster family don’t allow me to go on couches and beds.
I love going for walks, so you will get lots of exercise.
In the car I will lay down until we get to where we’re going.
I’m a bit protective of my food when other dogs are around so you would have to find a spot for me to eat alone. I also have the cutest overbite and need to eat from a round bottom bowl.
I would like to find my furever home soon so I can start to learn more from my new family. How could you not love this face!
Love Horrie 🐾💙
Has anxiety but is maintained with medication that may possibly be able to come off of once settled in a home and routine.
BTG will provide a 6 month supply or prescription for his medication once adopted..
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption. They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
